Impact Conference ‘16

My role:

Signage & wayfinding system

Environmental graphics

Preparation of print-ready artwork

Impact CEE Conference is one of the key tech events in Eastern and Central Europe, bringing together innovation leaders from sectors such as: industry 4.0, IoE, fin- & biotech, digital health, transportation and energy. It serves as a collaboration platform for start-ups, big corporations, public administration, academics and international investment funds. Its 2016 edition was held in Wrocław, with over 100 talks and nearly 1000 participants.

The whole project was prepared in collaboration with Koza Nostra studio, responsible for the art direction of the event & interior design of the venue.

Challenge

The Centennial Hall (an early landmark of reinforced concrete architecture) is a three-level convention center with an unusual structure, divided into various zones: main auditorium, multi-purpose rooms, smaller conference and meeting rooms and a spacious foyer.

Because of its irregular shape and distribution of the buildings implementing a proper signage system turned out to be a bit challenging – we risked visitors losing their path while moving from one part of the complex to another.

Execution

To facilitate navigation, wayfinding elements were applied on a variety of surfaces. I used wall & window stickers, floor graphics, totems, digital screens, flags and banners (the latter two also in the outdoors areas).

Environmental branding included elements such as: corporate stage design, backdrops, adaptation of the Impact workshop areas.

I was also responsible for preparing the Partner and Sponsor stands, including the backdrops, interactive banners and rollups.
